Really? Even in my jaded high school years I loved Moby Dick.

Just finished The Robots of Dawn, my first Asimov, after being told he was dense and too dry for pure entertainment reading I am thoroughly pleased to announce that I loved it, a great bloody book and I'll definitely continue to read more.

Richard Paul Russo's Carlucci trilogy (Destroying Angel, Carlucci's Edge & Carlucci's Heart) - Dystopic near-future noir. Good stuff.

I'm a sucker for true crime books, and have just finished re-reading "The Corpse Garden", about Fred and Rose West. My next novel should be "The Naked and the Dead", which I've been meaning to start for ages. I might avoid it and go back to Clive James' "Unreliable Memoirs", though.
