Someone did an awesome job of restoring it. With the amount of treble on tap with an SC120 and the top boost from the metal muff, that will slice your face off.

i've been using a rat before mine and i've only just really dialed in a good tone that doesn't completely destroy ears. the eq definitely need getting used to.
i know each of the bands act as a gain and have their own tube, but what about the presence? is that the same or is it just a regular high shelf sort of thing?

I'm seriously considering taking the fall with a Sound City 50+ head. I've always wanted to try out a Sound City head, but there's never been any for sale here when I've had the chance to buy one. Sadly I'll have to let go of my 5150 combo if I get it. There's also Sound City 120 for sale but I'm thinking it might be too big for me. Neither of them has master volume right? Oh, and can someone give me a brief 101 on jumpering the channels on the 50+?

i assume since it has four inputs it's the same as the 120r i have. all you have to do is connect one of the top inputs to the other bottom input. like so:

I think so. I went ahead and bought it since it was reasonably priced and I know I would've kicked myself later for not trying it out. Seemed to be in very good shape from the pictures. Can't wait to hear it.

What are the benefits of a patch lead in these inputs?

Patches both "channels", i.e. you can use both the Brilliant and Normal volume knobs and drive the amp harder.
