This was my recording rig for The Howling Winds new album...
[I also used a Marshall Superlead for most Leads and a Fender Combo for other overdubs.]

Ampeg VH150 ---> Orange cab. Fully cranked deep bassy sound.
Peavey 5150 ----> Emperor cab. Full saturated gain and and cranked mids/highs to compliment the cleaner Ampeg.

^Nice!!
I never got into 5150s on their own, but it's probably a great amp for a combo like that!

Yeah same with me. Never even considered them. But it has crazy gain that works well for faster stuff..
Colin is way into those 5150s and he has a few of them.
I usually always blend my ampeg head with another tube head on recordings.

I like the Masonic artwork on the little Marshall! (if that's a little Marshall?).

Yeah! It's a little Marshall. The head on the Ampeg Cab is a newer Acoustic 200h bass head

Got a little ahead of myself and destroyed it. Was going to pop a Bareknuckle Pig 90 along with the P90 from the strat into another guitar, but I bought a Mascis Jazzmaster instead!
